Ubuntu LTS and Derivatives to Get Nvidia Drivers Automagically!

Good news for future users of Ubuntu LTS releases, their different “flavors” (Xubu, Kubu, Lubu, etc), and derivatives like Linux Mint, Zorin, ElementaryOS, and Linux Lite:  Future releases will include Nvidea drivers by default.  No more hunting for the driver from added PPAs and whatever.  Read about it here.

  1. I don’t know why I started following this blog, I must have thought this was a different Robin. The crappy distribution being a display case for systemd totalitarianism utilizes automation and includes everything in the universe to create a single installation full of fat. On the average a user doesn’t need 70% of what -buntu installs, including large amounts of non-free software.

No sympathy for this crap, maybe MS-windows is more honest in what it produces than Ubuntu.

    1. Absolutely agreed. That’s why I’m using a lean, mean Slackware-based distro now. But not all my readers are as enlightened and wise as you are. But if they are introduced to Linux and grow a bit, they’ll soon catch on and join the rest of the elite snobs who know better.
